At present, the tire manufacturing industry has a high degree of automation, and 3D machine vision is widely used in it. Lasers are also widely used. At present, with the domestic industrial upgrading and localization requirements, many users know less about this type of laser, this paper mainly introduces the current laser in the field of tire manufacturing and tire forming machine application.
1. Reading and character recognition: it is often necessary to read the type and number of tires in automatic detection, and the use of 3d laser profiler can easily and accurately read the characters, letters and numbers on the surface of tires. And in this field, the laser has several particularly important: 1) the consistency of the laser line, especially the relevant specifications, including light output power, line width, depth of field, etc.; 2) High straightness requirement; 3) Because the bending of the tire edge will cause the brightness of both ends to decrease significantly, so the beam needs to be shaped; 4) long-term working stability; 5) Mechanical structure stability.
2. Tread measurement: The profile and surface integrity of tires directly affect the speed and safety of cars and trucks. Laser profile measurement system is usually used to measure tread profile, which is composed of line laser, industrial camera and image processing unit. According to different application requirements, the adjustable configuration can be flexibly adapted to different height differences, specifications, etc. By identifying tread wear, unnecessary heel changes and accidents can be avoided. And can provide diagnostic reference for chassis problems. And in this field, the laser has several particularly important: 1) the consistency of the laser line, especially the relevant specifications, including light output power, line width, depth of field, etc.; 2) High straightness requirement; 3) Because the bending of the tire edge will cause the brightness of both ends to decrease significantly, so the beam needs to be shaped; 4) long-term working stability; 5) Mechanical structure stability.
3. Tire press positioning: In the production process of the tire, the last step is to test the tire pressure. In the tire press to accurately calibrate the position of the tire, commonly used point or cross laser vertical irradiation. In this application, the requirements for the laser are as follows: 1) mechanical stability; 2) Human eyes are safe, and points and lines are clearly visible.
4. Tire retreader: The tire retreader needs to accurately locate the width of the used tire before it is processed. So two bright lasers can be used to mark the location. In this application, the laser is generally required to have the following characteristics: 1) the laser and the mounting bracket have strong mechanical strength to prevent being loose or damaged by vibration; 2) Laser line for human eye safety.
5. Laser in tire forming machine: Laser lines mark the correct position of the rubber strip on the drum during tire production. Three lasers are usually used: one for the center line and two for the outer line, which move in opposite directions depending on the width of the tire. Green line lasers provide better visibility, especially on black rubber. The laser in this field should have the following characteristics: 1) accurate positioning of the laser line, which needs to be matched with the mounting bracket; 2) Laser line is sensitive to human eyes, can choose 658nm and 532nm laser; 3) Human eye safety, CLASS 1M.
Application scenario: common tire surface marking, marking content can be customized according to tire size: two-dimensional code, bar code, characters and other identifiers; Marking process: read the tire’s own bar code, communicate with the server to obtain the marking content, and then convert it into one-dimensional two-dimensional code or characters. CO2 laser is used to mark and burn the tire surface;
