In the process of laser cutting machine, carbon steel cross-section cutting is very smooth, to achieve a similar horizontal “mirror”, we call the “bright surface cutting” effect. Of course, medium and thick plate carbon steel first uses bright surface cutting, carbon steel plate is too thin or too thick can not achieve bright surface cutting. So how to achieve smooth cutting of medium thick plate?
1, adjust the cutting power. The thickness of the plate is different, and the greater the thickness, the greater the power required. Conversely, the smaller the thickness, the less power required. Therefore, the power should be adjusted according to the actual thickness of the plate to achieve the best cutting power.
2, adjust the cutting pressure. Carbon steel oxygen cutting, material combustion will release a lot of heat, so the oxygen pressure should not be too large. Generally speaking, the smaller the air pressure in the cutting range, the brighter the cutting section. However, in order to ensure the stability of cutting, generally increase a certain share on the basis of air pressure.
3. Adjust the nozzle size. Beam quality, oxygen purity and gas flow are all affected. The smaller the nozzle, the better the beam quality, the greater the oxygen purity, and the smaller the gas flow. Therefore, smooth cutting should be as low as possible nozzle height.
4. Adjust the cutting focus. The optical fiber laser head ejects a beam of light with a certain diameter. In the process of smooth cutting, generally use a smaller nozzle. If the focus is too large, it will cause the nozzle heat, affecting the cutting quality and stability.
5, control the cutting rate. Too fast cutting speed is easy to lead to incomplete combustion of carbon steel plate, carbon steel cutting speed is too slow will lead to excessive combustion, so that carbon steel melting deformation. Therefore, on the premise of ensuring that the carbon steel does not deform, the cutting rate should be increased as much as possible to achieve fast cutting.
Of course, the use of laser cutting machine cutting plate want to achieve bright surface effect, but also need the operator in the actual operation of practice, constantly improve the cutting process, so as to achieve better results.
