Laser cutting machine auxiliary gases are mainly oxygen, air and nitrogen these three, cutting different materials to use different auxiliary gases. Different auxiliary gases can change the cutting speed and cutting surface quality. According to the thickness of the cutting material, the pressure and flow of the auxiliary gas are also different, and the pressure of the auxiliary gas has a direct impact on the laser cutting effect. The auxiliary gas can blow away the slag in time when the laser cutting machine is running, cool the workpiece and clean the lens.
1. Compressed air
Laser cutting machine using air cutting can reduce the oxide film and save costs. Generally, when the cutting plate is relatively not thick and the cutting end face is not too high, it is suitable for the cutting of aluminum plate, galvanized steel plate and non-metal, and it is widely used in the product industry such as sheet metal chassis and cabinet.
2. Nitrogen
Nitrogen is an inert gas. The laser cutting machine uses nitrogen to prevent the oxidation of the cutting end face of the product during cutting. Nitrogen can be selected for products with high requirements for cutting end faces and exposed products without treatment. Such as decoration industry, aerospace and other components.
3. Oxygen
Oxygen mainly plays a combustion-supporting role, laser cutting machine using oxygen cutting can make the cutting speed increase, cutting thickness increase. Oxygen is suitable for thick plate cutting, high-speed cutting and very thin plate cutting, such as some large carbon steel plates and some thick carbon steel plate members.
In general, it is necessary to select the appropriate auxiliary gas according to the characteristics and requirements of the cutting material, and carry out the corresponding control and adjustment to obtain the best cutting effect and extend the service life of the equipment.
